| | | Ultrasound/Zmed | Zmed's SonArray™ module is an advanced, high-precision patient positioning platform designed for IMRT radiation therapy. MRO uses SonArray to provide up to date target localization information for patient positioning in head and neck radiation therapy and for treating the prostate. The SonArray provides real-time 3D reconstruction of the target at time of treatment. The operator positions the patient using the treatment room lasers and acquires the target volume using SonArray's 3D ultrasound capabilities. The operator can then utilize SonArray's real time positioning status screen for adjusting the treatment table to reduce localization variances. Integrating 3D ultrasound technology with digital patient localization allows internal organs to be positioned precisely to isocenter, supporting a highly conformal treatment protocol.
