Ms. Sarah Way is a medical physicist with MRO. She joined the company upon completion of a M.S. in Radiological Physics from the CAMPEP accredited program at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. While in the program, she completed coursework and labs in many areas including Radiological Physics, Dosimetry, Radiation Therapy Physics, Treatment Planning, and Brachytherapy. Her M.S. essay dealt with the feasibility of inverse planned IMRT for breast therapy. While in school, Sarah worked in a pre-clinical MRI lab in the Brain Imaging Research Division at Wayne State Medical School. Prior to entering the Wayne State program, Ms. Way received a B.S. in physics from Kent State University in 2000 where she graduated summa cum laude with an honors thesis on the magnetoresistivity of high temperature superconducting cuprates. She also earned an M.S. in physics (biophysics emphasis) from the University of Minnesota in 2001. Her M.S. research culminated in a thesis studying toxin movement through home grown model cell membranes using fluorescence fluctuation spectroscopy. Sarah's base clinic is North Radiation Therapy Center in Robbinsdale. She is a member of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine. |
